So Ken, are you referring to the internal cud or die break on the eagle’s upper right wing? Or the high leaves variety reverse? Zack.

Your mention of a broken wing tip was spot on as all these have that characteristic. The tail feathers also come in varying degrees of strike, but virtually none are full. That also makes the leaves on the upper right reverse to lack detail.
In the answer I was looking for “”Strong” as it’s important as to the coin’s value. These come in varying degrees of strike. PCGS made the decision (correctly) to add “strong” to the EDS examples some 6-7 years ago. There are very few of them & they’re much more valuable - double or more of the later die states. This coin is one of the EDS with “strong”; PCGS was very tough on this one with the 63 grade.
I’m out of the loop today, so I’ll defer to @jfriedman56 for next up. Btw, Zack, imo this coin is a 64, so when you added “strong” to your guess this AM, it was as close to correct as possible without actually guessing the 63 on the label.
Finally, the LL guesses were partially correct as this variety is under the LL category. All 1858 FE’s are generally either LL or SL.
