Nice coin at a great price! Are you going to grade it? I don't think that the 1/4 oz. 2004 has much of a premium in 70, but you might want to consider getting it looked at.
At the price you paid, you've already made a nice premium.

I thought about sending it in, but just like you said, I can pick them up on eBay for not a terrible amount much more, so I’ll probably just keep this one raw…

Converting not-so-precious metals into worthwhile money with character.
It's been a good month with 320 lbs of UBC recycled, and the price for UBC rising to $0.65 per pound or 2.03 cents per can. We (I do all the work; gf receives the $50s and $100s - we laugh about the inequity) got $208 in aluminum cans alone and it is still winter. Not much traffic at the boat landings. Therefore, lots of surgical dumpster diving while dodging store clerks at 3 AM. An evening of adventure for $20 worth of UBC.
Here's Monday's tag for 211 lbs. of UBC. I dropped off another 109 lbs. of UBC Tuesday and the receipt had my name and address on it, so perhaps I've made an impression with the 320 pounds total UBC dropped off in two days. That happens with large quantities of scrap. I found that out because I had to get rid of well over a ton of UBC in my 2-car garage in 2016. I had no more room to park! I stored them there because UBC prices were abysmal for a few years. As soon as I got rid of them, sure enough, aluminum prices started to rise again.

Also got my platinum back from CACG!
I typically go with PCGS for most of my grading, I did the CACG more or less for the novelty of it, plus my friend was sending his very first submission ever, and I piggybacked these along…
I love their holders, I did it mainly for the aesthetics.

And I got both of these this week, these really really take me back to when I was a teenager,
I seem to recall around the time they were 25 to 30 bucks apiece? And that was with a hefty premium added!
I got both for $175 each and I feel like I got at least a decent deal…
And the 1989 really has that “80s” look to it.

It is a combination of the natural toning and the lighting for the picture. I wish it was a gold bar.

I normally do not care for gold bars, I try to go for coins when it’s gold, but this was definitely an exception, vintage, and in it’s original packaging, I couldn’t pass it up!

Recent pickup. These Ohio Precious Metals bars are .9995. Not 4 nines like RCM bars, but they have a nice solid look.

Although I will admit occasionally, I will buy something that I can’t find anything about if it looks like it was a professional outfit, like the one I got two years ago, Federal…
I just don’t want garage pours that are completely unknown, if it’s something done with an alphabet stamp where they’re taking the letters and spelling out words and stuff. I don’t care for that, but if it’s a professionally done mark and it was some outfit from the past, even if it’s hard to find out who it was, I’m usually interested…
This came into the shop back in 2023. There were actually two of them with different formats. The way they were struck, I liked the thinner flat one better so I only bought it, looking back I should’ve bought both!

Pretty cool, earlier this week we had 198 of these come in.
Unbelievable, i’ve only seen like four or five of these in the last 10 years and then a guy comes in with 198 of them…

Occasionally, a customer will sell a bunch of something like this, and then show up again… I don’t think that will happen, but you never really know for sure…
FWIW, I saw some of these on eBay, not terribly high as far as asking prices, if I can’t provide any, perhaps you might find a nice example there?
I’ve only bought four of these in the last five years. I really like them, myself!

Don’t see them complete with both original boxes often, and the round itself still be in such good condition
