This guy's posted what? Three threads where all his coins are fake.
Are we going to keep giving this troll attention?

I tend to agree here. Maybe not all fake coins, but certainly not even someone who knows what they are talking about.
Time to put this keyboard punk on iggy IMO
I have always been opposed to the iggy. I would not have a job if it wasn't for those that are learning to do it themselves.
If I thought he was looking to learn, like more than a few newbies we've seen here, I go out of my way to help.
When a rank amatuer proclaims all of his knowledge and prowess, doesn't listen, is combative and argumentative, ESPECIALLY on a board like this, where some of the finest numismatic of minds actually participate ... he's just a troll. Nothing more, nothing less.
When that's the case, I have a LOT of better things to do with my time, including read his drivel.
“We are only their care-takers,” he posed, “if we take good care of them, then centuries from now they may still be here … ”
There are many of us that have an unconventional approach to posting, has he been stuck to his opinion that he knows more, yah. What do ya do? As one that likes to pass on Knowledge, I would advise the OP to keep his position until it no longer benefits him or herself. The Iggy can close doors. I expected a coin that wasn't altered when I opened this thread. When I break down a coin it starts with the condition, stage, and preservation. This coin triggered all of them.

That 1921 Peace dollar has exceptional eye appeal, @BillJones!
Thank you. NGC called it MS-65. I paid less than Grey Sheet money for it at the time to a dealer, and figured I still over paid. It’s good to hear from a pro that it’s a decent coin. You see these impossible strikes illustrated for this date. I’ve never seen a fully struck 1921 Peace Dollar, but I’m not a dollar guy so I don’t look at that many.
The 1921 does have a mark on the neck which is a bit stronger when you see it in person.
Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?
Maybe for once we could make a bet; send the coin to one of the cheapest authenticators, Anacs or ICG; all in with submission form, costs, postage to and from for the two coins could run under $45. If they grade we'll pay all costs and then some, if they don't you pay us a fee.
I think the commemorative is real yet without seeing it in hand, that assessment is just an educated guess.
I am unsure of the Peace dollar.
If those two coins prove not to be authentic I think we as a collecting whole have a bit more to worry about than the postings of an overly-enthusiastic member, whether he genuine or not.

Unfortunately, you seem to be in the wrong place here.
This is a forum for collectors of coins in PCGS slabs. Please show us some coins you have bought in PCGS slabs. We would love to see them.
This could not be more wrong, and disgustingly elitest.
I did later restate my comment to, "This is a forum for coin collectors who see the value of having PCGS slabs."
I recognize many collectors have their collections outside of slabs. For me. based on my experiences selling my coins and having them questioned, the risk is too great.

You did not restate (edit) your comment it still stands, all you did was follow that up with an equally disgustingly elitest second comment. So tell me have you contacted Mr. Hansen to inform him that he is no longer welcome to post here as he is moving his collection out of PCGS holders. We sure wouldn't want that kind of ilk posting here now would we.

Since this is a PCGS website I did not think it was appropriate to mention other brands. I do think third party grading services are critical for protecting coin collectors.
I'll be happy to do that just as soon as you reply to my question to you.
Why would he bother to answer what appears to be a baiting, rhetorical question?
And why would I reply to his request which is just as baiting and rhetorical. Bu I see you didn't take upon yourself to question his post only mine, typical of you Mark.

Either you don't get it or being obtuse on purpose, either way I haven't the desire (or need) to explain anything to you.

You certainly don’t need to explain anything to me or anyone else. I’ll be happy for you if you’re able to quit trying. 😉

What is your resistance to buying coins graded by PCGS or even NGC?
I do my research and I buy raw coins from shops that already check the legitimacy of them beforehand or else they would not even purchase them. It’s a cost saving move for me.
If you post what type of coins you are looking to buy and how much you are willing to spend on a coin, I'm sure some of our Forum members would be happy to sell you some PCGS graded coins at great prices just to get you going down the right path. If you get offers, compare their prices to the price guides to confirm you are getting a good deal.

I want to see them traps!
Both coins (1921 Peace $, 1926-S Oregon 1/2 $) appear genuine to me.
They have a nice "circ-cam" sort of look to them.
I did not have "shirtless guy bragging he could kick your ass at hockey" on my bingo card for today's coin browsing.
This could not be more wrong, and disgustingly elitest.

I love the look of the '21.
