They were together in Seattle. Im guessing that ends Sanders hope of ending up in Vegas unless hes going to sit for a while with a likely extentsion coming for Geno. Definitely throws an interesting twist into the draft. Only 2 teams in the top 10 will really be looking for a QB now, 3 if you count the Titans. Abdul Carters injury does as well and the Titans might just go ahead and take Ward. Theres a number of top end d linemen in the draft but a second choice would be a hard sell to the fan base.

You'd think that with Carroll's age the Raiders are in win-now mode but when they're on the clock and if Sanders is still there it would be hard to pass on him (even if Geno extends in LV.) Brady is already on record saying that he thinks young QBs should sit and learn the ropes before getting thrown to the wolves, so if Sanders is there (and if they draft him) the team would have the luxury of not needing to start him immediately. I know, lots of if's to get to that point though.
Its also been rumored that the Raiders at 6 could be the ideal spot for Ashton Jeanty to get drafted. Pete Carroll may view him as his 2025 version of Beast Mode.

LOL so Myles decided he wanted money over winning a championship
I don't blame him to be honest
If you are not satisfied with your job (workplace/boss/organization/culture/coworkers/etc), money is only a short-term fix. Whatever you are dissatisfied with is still going to be there
I guess we all have a different "take" on things, so here's mine:
Myles Garrett clearly wanted the trade, however people interpret the request it was sincere and points to his character. He never grouses, never complains and is the furthest thing from a clubhouse distraction you could ask for. In short Myles is just a good teammate. He asked nicely, stated his case and let it be. The Browns reaction was to react with the media instead of just calling him in to talk, which they did do. When and only when it became clear that he wouldn't be traded --- AND --- the Browns made him an offer he accepted the money.
Anyone who says they would do otherwise is either foolish or a liar. Myles Garrett will report to everything the team tells him to, be in top shape come summer camp and play his heart and soul out for the team when he's on the field, all without being a distraction or causing any problems. It's just the nature of his character which is to be admired.
My concern as a Browns fan is that the owners keep doing this sort of thing and it hurts the team in the long run.
So just in the past week we've seen record breaking contracts at the RB, QB, DE positions and now you can add DB with Carolina re-signing corner Jaycee Horn making him the highest paid DB in history.
You can't tell me that the players aren't loving all of this extra Taylor Swift created revenue brought the NFL's way lol.
Skyler Thompson I think is their only QB under contract and they got Justin Fields asking to be considered a starter if they resign him lol
If the miserable part has to do with playing in Pittsburgh, is that really any worse than playing in Seattle? (honest question, never been to either place)
They're likely to go after one of the veteran free agent QBs. After that trade was announced, i started seeing Aaron Rodgers to the Steelers rumors or (IIRC) there was even talk of PITT possibly going the Sam Darnold route instead. Kirk Cousins could get released but who knows if the Steelers would want to wait around for that to happen, or they could just trade for him.

They need somebody or a series of somebody's to carry them to a draft where there are several "likely to make it" prospects available. The approach should be to improve the team, stockpile draft picks and wait.
Talking with a friend yesterday, he's a Steeler lifer, about what's taken place in the last week:
--- Pittsburgh seems ready to sign or attempt to sign Aaron Rodgers for a year. They shed themselves of Fields and with the Metcalf signing now have a good receiving core of Metcalf/Pickens/Freiermuth, just need someone to play pitch and catch with them.
--- The Browns have set themselves up to make a run at Abdul Carter by signing Myles Garrett to an extension. They should be moving heaven and earth to make sure the Titans either don't pick him or switch picks, my choice. I have zero confidence in this years QB class and Carter with Garrett would win the team some games.
A caveat about the above thinking: I'm old school NFL and subscribe to the approach that, with the earliest choices, it's better in the long run to choose the best available athlete. Some random signings/rumors from the past 24hrs...
Brissett to the Cardinals
Mariota back to the Commanders
TE Evan Engram to the Broncos
Wr Marquez Valdes-Scantling to the Seahawks
The Bills traded CB Kaiir Elam to the Cowboys.
Cooper Kupp & Aaron Rodgers officially released
Mahomes & Chris Jones helped the Chiefs free up a boatload of cap space
Dolphins, Ravens & Cowboys each get four additional compensatory picks.
Per Shefter, Russell Wilson is scheduled to visit the Browns & Giants over the next two days.
They have all of these pieces in place to win so that would be a huge plus, you'd just have to hope that his health holds up and he keeps the totes cray-cray meter down low. Who knows how much money he'd be looking for though?

I didn’t actually read that specific article but I figured it was something like that. I’m pretty sure that news of PM getting his contact reworked was made public like a week or two ago, today’s announcement of Jones doing the same and who the money was spent on were both really just an update, I think.

yeah, I was really surprised they couldnt have worked something out with Thuney. They traded their best OL from what was a terrible OL and signed basically a backup to take his place. I feel like that will be a major story for next seasons Chiefs success or failure.

It sort of made sense though when you factor in Thuney's age and him likely wanting a new deal next offseason when he hits free agency. One of those move him a year early rather than year late scenarios that BB was always known for. Add KC to the list of teams that will be looking to overhaul their OL early in the draft, Houston & NE are two others high up on that list.

All of the "news and rumors" are probably being perpetuated by Rodgers himself. Last thing a diva wants is to be unwanted.

I think it would be just great if he were to follow in Favres footsteps: pack, jets, vikings.
and then in about 12 years hopefully Jordan Love will get signed by the Jets, then Minn.
It looks to me that the Atlanta Falcons reason for holding onto Kirk Cousins is clear: they are sort of playing musical chairs with him, waiting for every available QB to find a seat. Once that happens he'll end up somewhere. I would personally prefer him over Russell Wilson for the Browns but it doesn't really matter. Whoever they choose to start, and that may be Kenny Picket, that guy is just a bridge to someone better in a future draft.
As mentioned above, I see quite a battle shaping up for the premium offensive lineman in this draft. It's reminiscent of the past when OL went quite high in the draft.

True but the Jets will always be the Jets lol.
I'd also give the Vikings the edge on both sides of the ball compared to NY. Their failures at the end of the year mostly had to do with QB play and pass protection, Rodgers should be an upgrade to Darnold and Minnesota is due to get their franchise LT back in Christian Darrisaw.

They have all of these pieces in place to win so that would be a huge plus, you'd just have to hope that his health holds up and he keeps the totes cray-cray meter down low. Who knows how much money he'd be looking for though?

Aaron Rogers will play for Minn. this is the script.
George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.
I read that the restructure of Patty and jones was just enough to pay for the couple of guys they signed/resigned and to pay for their draft.
George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.
I didn’t actually read that specific article but I figured it was something like that. I’m pretty sure that news of PM getting his contact reworked was made public like a week or two ago, today’s announcement of Jones doing the same and who the money was spent on were both really just an update, I think.

Oh No! Not Pickett AND Wilson!
"CLEVELAND (WJW) — Super Bowl champion Russell Wilson is reportedly interested in playing quarterback for the Cleveland Browns — or at least talking about potentially playing for the Cleveland Browns, according to multiple sources."
"When they can't find anything wrong with you, they create it!"
yeah, I was really surprised they couldnt have worked something out with Thuney. They traded their best OL from what was a terrible OL and signed basically a backup to take his place. I feel like that will be a major story for next seasons Chiefs success or failure.
George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.

I will have to disagree (until I'm proven wrong). IMHO they don't want the circus & drama that comes with him. I'd hand the reins over to JJ McCarthy and move forward.
George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.
They got all the pieces in place just like the Jets last year lol
"backfoot" Mac Jones signed by the 49ers. 2 years at a whopping $7MM.
George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.
