    I'm a full red kinda guy so the blue does little for me.

    Got any Full Red's Charmy?
    I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

    Hi Lee, that's a really beautiful coin. However, I'm the complete opposite of you, I really prefer toned red/brown or toned brown copper. I do have some full red coins, but none are mine personally and none are doubled.

    I really like the color on your 72 DDO, Charmy. The doubling on the penny makes it look sorta 3-D when you look at it.

    This one is nice, but I think my pics represent the real look of the coin better.

    One of my all time sentimental favorites...I found this one on a hot steamy august night...age 17, rollpicking, with coins spread out all over my bed. Ran out to my Dad, who was sitting reading the newpaper...jammed it in front of his face an yelled I FOUND ONE I FOUND ONE!!!!!!!!!!!! he said, Yup, you DID! not too long after, being a broke kid, I needed money, and sold it to my Mom for sixty dollars. It sat in the safe in house until three years ago, when she passed on. I submitted it, and got a 63RB because of a fingerprint (not mine) on the face. All in all, a nice coin Ill keep forever.

    @oakstar…….lol….strange story behind mine. I got it from a coin dealer in Ft. Walton Beach, FL, when I was stationed at Hurlburt Field with the USAF in 1986. The owner of the shop, Robert Brock, said he was one of the discoverers of the 83 RDD and the 84 double ear Lincoln….so he had a lot of them to sell. Mine is in a large plexiglass holder with the ANACS certificate saying the grade is an MS65/MS65. I looked at the PCGS views and mine looks like it would possibly grade a bit higher, but I
    am kinda gun shy about submitting stuff because I think my coins always look better than the TPG’s…😉

    Nice story @knovak1976. Wish I could have look for coins during my military years. Couldn't afford it.

    Here's mine. I think I was focused more on the holder, then the coin. Love these small soap bar slabs. I think the 036 is today's 801.

    As a side note. I bought this 1939-S straight graded years ago for my 8140 Washington Dansco mint set. Years later, I cherrypicked my own set, discovering it was a DDO. I resubmitted it and lost a grade.

    Two of my favorite cherrypicks.

    1961 PF67 DDR, FS-801 Franklin half dollar (it looks better in hand and has a Cameo appearance).

    1943/2-P 5C DDO FS-101 (028), FS MS66 (it looks much better in hand than it shows in the Trueview photo).
