Took advantage of the spike in gold spot this morning to sell a raw buffalo. Asked for $2 bills when cashing the check, and much to my surprise, they had a nice BEP stockpile. Got a radar note and some lucky 77777s out of it.

Cash may be king ... but in $2 bills?
Got lots of gold, didn’t have any $2 bills. Great marginal utility.

Dig it!
Good to see you having some fun.
Planning to do a lot of tipping the next few years?
Should have went $1 bills, and doubled the stash!

Hey, you could wallpaper the spare room !
Nice haul on those. Cool five 7's and radar note.
Spend a few, save a few, and you can always re-deposit a brick or two to help with the next coin.

@P0CKETCHANGE , I have a task for you: I want you to track as many of these as you can after you spend them.

Given the high prices, it’s hard to know what to do about gold these days. It was over $2,700 yesterday.
I’ve been putting together a type of the new design American gold and silver eagles just as a collector. I try to rationalize the purchase by thinking I’m “dollar averaging.” The last time I put a set like that together was in the ‘80s. It cost something like $600 for all five coins.
I have used wg before as well, but the owner is so stingy and made it so that you can't hardly do anything past 10,000 bills unless you pay. I changed websites because I didn't like that, and because they won't let the word "God" be used in the bill notes.

As a $2 bill fan myself I salute you, PC!

its your money, spend it
Very nice +++ Did you get any star notes?
What fun Eric! Good for you - one can have “too much” gold anyway. Nice exchange!

Won't the gold have more buying power in the long run?
Obviously gold will have better buying power than the equivalent fiat in the long term, but that isn’t really relevant. I’m not holding the cash long term, I’m exchanging it for goods and services in the short term.

I love spending $2 bills people think they are valuable and often ask "are you sure?". The clerks probably save them which is good.
They make good tips.
