Phillies-Mets series tied at 1-1. Until the 6th inning, it appeared that the Mets were thinking sweep, and I wouldn't blame them if they did.

Finally the Phillies bats woke-up, and turned it into a very entertaining game.

Wide open now. Both teams are hungry. We shall see which team wants it more.

Am hoping for a Yankees/Phillies series. I have an "interest" in both teams.

I would love it, more than life itself. 😎

The Phillies bullpen looks like the gasoline gang. They might well provide the road to victory for the Mets.

Not "quite" a must win game for the Phillies today, but if they lose, then they are in deep trouble.

The Phillies bats woke-up in the latter part of the previous game, and need to stay woke-up.

I'm almost envious of Mets fans. The Mets are already out of it, and so their fans can enjoy the rest of the Spring, along with Summer and Fall, without the constant worry of a darn pennant race. Must be nice.

Mets fans get to have fun sitting on a park bench feeding the pigeons, flying a kite when the weather is windy, taking long walks along the Hudson River, and other forms of entertainment, rather than the stress and strain of rooting for a World Series championship.

Another one of Stevek's prescient predictions! B)

I might be hissed off at that remark if I knew what prescient meant. 😉

Sure isn't looking very promising right now.

with apologies to Vin Scully, they say a picture paints a thousand words..the above post has done just that!

It's ok, Steve, there are always nice park benches for those Phillies to sit upon and ruminate just where things went wrong for them!

Well if we’re being mean just for the sake of being mean……… I was hoping Elly would make top 3 but there’s always next year. Check this out misty.

Steve tough loss to the Mets. My Royals look like they might be toast also. Hang in there, you and me have our battles but you’re never mean or vindictive just a good ole Philly sports fan. 👍
Oh and grote is really classy about rubbing it in I think you deserved his comments. 😝

Grote15 and I go back a long way with the smack. I've mentioned this before in the Trading Cards forum, that he has saved me thousands of dollars over the years with his forum advice regarding unopened packs. Advice that if I hadn't read it, might have cost me a lot of money wasted on fraudulent packs trying to figure it out. So I am very thankful to him for that.

The smack I've always enjoyed ever since I was a kid. In my view it's part of being a good sports fan. Sometimes I'm giving it, sometimes I'm receiving it. All in good fun is the way I see it. Anyone who gets upset over it, may want to consider taking up crochet as a hobby, a lot less stressful. 😉

Let's face it: as a Mets and Jets fan, it's not often I can crow around here, LOL.

I appreciate the kind words, Steve, and feel lucky we got hot at the right time which seems to be the most important part of making a run for a championship.

A typical Phillies performance in the post season. We are used to it.
