Always great to see errors on gold!
Two nice PCGS coins without TrueViews. So what can one do? Get Great Photos from @PhilArnold!
Of course, TrueViews are nice when they are had! Here's a Mankiller quarter which is a struck-through grease error on a shattered die / retained cud variety.

Here is a small struck through that I discovered while preparing a submission of Daniel Carr edge-lettered coins for ANACS.
I never noticed it prior to sending it to DCarr years ago to be edge-lettered with my requested "KILROY WAS HERE" text. I'll pay the $12 extra to have ANACS add the error to the label.

Non-intentional gold error coins are very rare, but seem to be much more common than intentional gold error coins, at least from a relative perspective.

Your post reminds me of a modern mint set, I bought last year with a sealed "S.T." coin, inside the cellophane!
I think it's a 2021 or 2022 Jefferson?

My first thought was struck thru but I believe others said it might be lamination or delamination.

If the object that was struck through remains embedded in the coin, is it still a "strike-through" error or is it called something else ?

My mistake. I would say that the 54 is maybe a dual error. The area in question is a retained struck thru copper debris on the edge and there is a retained cud on the reverse

Years ago via Gallery Mint's generosity, Ron & Joe executed my hand drawn "Special Orders" circa 1996.
For me these are fun to perfectly mate & separate as they remain raw.
Large 1c Struck thru a Flipped Over Mercury Dime. I made 2 of these sets using this die pair, one set I gifted to Fred Weinberg long ago.
