This is the most beautiful rainbow toned Flying Eagle Cent I've ever seen. You rarely see these toned nicely. I would love to know the grade, auction, date it sold, and final hammer if you know it.
That is a Large Letters- High Leaves variety.
This is the Low Leaves variety. Makes for a lovely bookend pair in my collection. The TruView of the High Leaves looks nicer, but in hand I prefer the Low Leaves.
Some refer to overgraded slabs as Coffins. I like to think of them as Happy Coins.

This is not my coin. It is available on Ebay right now for $9,999.99. The date/mint is very common; I own a 67+ purchased for $200 (and I overpaid), while Heritage sold a 68 in 2020 for $380 (and their website says it was resold in September 2021 for $544). PCGS has graded 14 copies in 68. PCGS has graded 299 copies of the 1914-A mark, the most of any date/mint combination of all the German Empire marks.
But the dealer who owns this coin is correct: this is the single finest German Empire mark to be graded by PCGS (NGC has 2 in 68+). To my eyes, it really is gorgeous...
In 2013, I lot viewed the coins in the Cardinal auction. The 1794 Dollar deservedly got the attention, but the half-disme is stunning. Difficult to image:

SICILY
SYRACUSE, Dionysius I, 406–367. Decadrachm c. 400 BC, Attic standard. Work signed by the engraver Euainetos. Obv. Quadriga galloping left, driven by charioteer. On rev. head of the nymph Arethusa.
This particular example sold in 2013 by Numismatic Ars Classica. (Photo from their online catalog).
Easy to understand why you think that. It has so much going on and so well done.

Hard to argue with just about any coin from what I consider to be the “golden age” of US coin design, the early 20th century… but if I HAD to pick one, it would be the $2.50 Pan Pac…. And sadly, this jaw dropping beauty is not mine:
Yeah… it’s just that I don’t care for heavily toned silver - it’s just not attractive to me. I’ll go for luster first and absence of marks second. It’s a personal preference thing.

For some reason when the topic Most Beautiful Coin comes up this coin immediately comes to mind:
I think it is a good candidate for Most Beautiful.
PCGS just posted this beautiful coin in world coin Category. Not my coin.

Mine I believe. What an honor to have it posted here. Actually purchased in spite of the fact that I own this, which is also amazing:

May I know the grade of that coin? It looks like one I sold a long time ago.

Your cent goes perfectly with my dollar, I love the fact that nothing clutters up the fields of my coins. (of course I don't own either coin)
I can never unsee it
Large photo is mine on a coin as is.
Bottom photo was not necessary but what a ride.

This might be the finest MPL In existence. Near 68 quality. (67+RB).

There is a Gold CAC 1909 VDB in 67+RB with absolutely stunning tone, as well as several PR68RDs.

I’m well aware of that. The 7+RB ‘09 VDB is awesome. I like the ‘16 a little more.

Ditto to the Decadrachm. I saw my first one in 1994 and it was amazing.
