I am no expert but I do have a collection of worthless rocks I have picked up in my travels.
It looks like your rocks have some quartz in them and maybe mica on the quartz which is pretty common. Mica is flaky and glittery. If you do a search for quartz with mica I think you will see some similar pieces.
Successful BST deals with mustangt and jesbroken. Now EVERYTHING is for sale.
The best help I can give is to get a test kit with the 50 or so rock samples.
Check the basics like color, striations, hardness,etc.
Are you in a precious metals bearing district.
Look for layers and being able to distinguish between what's good and what's going to be a waste of time is key....I'm not there yet.

Well the problem occurs if it costs way more to get to the gold than what the gold itself is worth you see.

If it looks like gold it is not gold. You will know it when you see it.
It's a quartz rock. Gold is almost excllusively found with quarts but quartz does not always have gold. Easiest way to find out what you have is to send it off for assay. Call an assayor and see what it entails in your area of the world. The results will tell you if you need to buy the quarry the rock came from
I know a guy that discoved a gold lode by following the Forest Service as they put a new road through the forest. He did pretty well with mining that roadside vein over a couple of years. Nice little pocket.

You can crush and pan it yourself to see if it is worth the assay cost. I use Florin analytical in Reno.

It looks like a large group of abandoned Pet Rocks. Contact your local animal shelter or check the telephone poles in your neighborhood for lost pet posters.

Looks like mica and/or pyrite. Here is an old adage, if you think it is gold it is not gold. You will know it is gold. If it is pyrite it could have gold in it but it would be disseminate and not visible.
