1828 US 25c.......B-2 variety.

See the Truview way below...............PCGS MS-62.

Grade opinion would be appreciated.

There is strong cartwheel luster, but there are two small marks in the obverse fields.

My very broad range of grade is minimum au55, maximum ms62.

Don't know if I'll be sending it in.

Based on the second set of photos, I would think 53/55 max.
First blurry set had me thinking MS. Lol

AU55. The wear is obvious and precludes a higher grade. Regardless, a very nice coin!

Outstanding look! Good shot at 58, with 55 probably the floor.

AU55, possibly 58 if the luster pops.

Very hard to tell the grade from those pics, but my guess would be either 58 or 62. Great coin for the scarce B2 variety! It should be high in the condition census.

Sweet coin! My guess is 55 because of the marks.

AU-58, don't send it in. Enjoy it by holding it in your hand!

If you are selling it then I would submit it for maximum return.

AU55 but it would probably grade higher. Might even pull a low MS with some luck.

I like it as an AU-55, but it wouldn’t surprise me to find one that nice in a 58 holder.

Purchased it in the 'AU' range and not in a PCGS or NGC slab.....I realize I didn't answer your question.

    That's a GREAT coin @DoubleEagle59!

I missed your post back in May, but saw the new post with the submission grade recently and meant to swing back around to comment. A RAW problem free 1828 B-2 in the grade you found is really an exciting find. The 1828 B-2 is an R-5- variety and very tough in higher grades, especially uncirculated.

Did you look at the census in any of the more recent early quarter books? It's possible your coin could be one of the higher up pieces in the census that have been lost in tracking over time. It might be worth a check of the prior appearances of the examples that have not had a public sale in the last 20 years to see if they might be a match.

Is this a type coin for you, or are you collecting bust quarters by variety, date, or ?

My limited research has only one higher - a pcgs ms63.
