"Anticipation!" On the verge, of receiving a bank box of NICKELS!
Yes guys,
Anticipation, can be a good thing! Like a kid at Disneyland's gates! Ready and pumped for excitement and the joy of having FUN!
The only thing different in us collector's and kids at Disneyland is we not only enjoy the thrill participating but we can also actually get an extra bonus. Silver, varieties, errors, proofs, foreign and who knows what else?
The thrill alone pays for the box!
Let's GO...

Good luck on your coin hunt!
My bank told me today I can only have 10 rolls of pennies or 5 rolls of quarters, dimes or nickels due to a shortage.

If you’re excited about the anticipation of foreign coins in your rolls, you would’ve been thrilled at a $2000 bag of sba’s I got back in the 1990s that was about 30% full of Canadian quarters. Luckily I knew the teller well and got that mess corrected.
Foreign coins from dozens of different country's, in all rolls, both customer wrapped and bank rolls have absolutely gone through the roof over the past few years! I wonder where they are all coming from!!
Foreign coins seen in bank boxes of US coins is just plain unacceptable.
“I believe in intuitions and inspirations. I sometimes feel that I am right. I do not know that I am. When two expeditions of scientists, financed by the Royal Academy, went forth to test my theory of relativity, I was convinced that their conclusions would tally with my hypothesis. I was not surprised when the eclipse of May 29, 1919, confirmed my intuitions. I would have been surprised if I had been wrong. I am enough of the artist to draw freely upon my imagination. Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world.” Albert Einstein- quoted in Saturday Evening Post interview (1929)
“Whoever is careless with the truth in small matters cannot be trusted with important matters.” For Einstein, honesty was fundamental. Attention to truth in small things reflected a person’s integrity on a larger scale.
Shortage? They just don't want to deal with collectors requesting coins in bulk, that's all. Convenient excuse for them. Telling you "shortage" is really up there on the BS meter.

Coin shortage? Yeah right. As soon as, a bank would tell me this. Moments later, the next visit to another bank,1 or 2 blocks away would give me a whole BOX of coins!

Cheers, RickO
I usually go through about three boxes of nickels and 2 boxes of half dollars a month usually find at least 1 war nickel in each box of nickels. Enjoy the hunt. Also when I get a box of coinss from my credit union branch they give me a heavy plastic bag to put the loose coins in. This way I don't have to wrap the coins. Let the CRH hunt begin and good luck. 🙂☘️

With the Nickels, I've been pretty lucky finding Wartime's. Many shots at 1939's as well.
Been on the lookout for the modern (2005-2023). Rotated and super die clashes!
Many have surfaced recently on YouTube because of the low quality at the mint recently! Found one of each, not too long ago. Esp the reverse die Clashing that has Jefferson's eyes over Monticello! Very cool die clash. 😎

In the first roll I checked!
Then, after 15 rolls...

I've been thinking of searching nickels again too...haven't done that since I was a teenager. When I found my first wartime nickels, I didn't know what they were, just that they had unusually large mint marks!!!!!!
There is a lot more foreign travel in the last 20-30 years, so probably people just bringing their change back, something they have always done.
I can't explain mixing so many Canadian quarters with SBAs, but as to why these coins get mixed in with US coinage more recently, probably because of the perpetual design changes and minimal value. I don't use change and though I'd recognize a non-US coin, the sheer variety on US circulating coinage probably means many Americans don't.
Finally completed my Nickel Box.

Nothing but 1 Wartime.
Thanks
