    I recall when those came out. I got the proof send unc set.

    They sold out so fast there was serious discussion in Congress about authorizing another issue with some slight variation to distinguish it from the original run.

    At 227,131 D Mint uncirculated, and 272,869 P Mint proofs, there were never enough to go around from the outset.

    I always liked this design and I finally picked up a two coin set a couple years back. I was looking them over for perfection and found one appears to have a strike through or something. Should probably look at it again one of these days.
