Toned Peace Dollar - Natural or Artificial?

Given the resurrection of the toned Peace Dollar thread, I thought I'd try out a poll here. Make a choice and add commentary as you wish. Edit to add that the TV is an accurate representation of the coin's appearance in hand and it is quite lustrous.

They are one in the same. Intent being what is questioned. How that is determined is beyond me. Thanks 🙏

I've seen a few silvers that looked very similar to that. Pretty sure it's natural. Has that "flaky" peeling look to it.

Personally, i don't like the look and i passed on a bunch that were straight graded with that toning.

To me, coins with that toning look like a bad nail polish job on a working girl. JMO

I think it appears NT, but, based on the picture, not much eye appeal IMO.

It looks market acceptable to me. The reverse has a crusty look that I've seen on other Peace Dollars. The obverse might cause some to question it but nothing about it looks too unusual.

I don't like the toning on it, but looks like a straight graded example.

I'm going to say it's natural. I would also think the truview is misleading as to how it looks in hand. Is it more of a dark copper look?
Can you post an in hand pic of this one?

That coin spent time in a very unfriendly environment.... The tarnish occurred... (much like other waste happens). Whether intentional or by chance is the question... Cheers, RickO

I think the colors it displays indicate it tarnished naturally, in that it was left inadvertently in a tarnish-friendly, sulfur-forward ecosystem without malicious toning intent by its former custodian. Yeesh...

Looks natural to me, and quite attractive. In my experience this type of toning is rare on Peace dollars.

I am not sure, I don't like it much though.

What bothers me is the image of a finger print on the obverse.
    But not the reverse ?
