Is this a "Struck through grease" error or something else?
My only two guesses for this coin were struck through grease, or struck through a late-stage die cap. But after looking at Error-Ref.com, I think that struck through grease is the more likely explanation.
What I find interesting is that the lines that seem to radiate from the center of the coin are most pronounced on the obverse, but there are also some on the reverse.
Is it likely that there was grease on both dies?
Am I on target or is this something altogether different?

This coin was struck with extremely worn dies. They should've been retired tens of thousands of strikes ago.

Yup, worn dies are the cause of that radiating effect.
