Look up how high alcohol consumption was in the US when Draped Bust and Capped Bust coins were being minted. Might explain things.

Definitely my favorite blundered date….
@in2Coins ... Dates are a focal point on coins, which makes me wonder why such variations are so prolific. One would think that, much like the obverse featured design, the date would get as much attention in the die fabrication process. Seems not... Cheers, RickO
