Ooh, I might have to do that.
An amazing exhibit.... would like to see that... Always dreamed of finding a gold coin on the beach.... Lived in plenty of places where it could have happened... but it did not. Cheers, RickO
It might be time to clean and polish my slabbed 1857-S $20 and offer it for sale, this summer?
Let's see your treasure; polish not required
I saw these coins when they were first exhibited at the Marriott Hotel near LAX. It was very convenient for me, as my office was across the street. If you haven't seen them, it's worth a look.
"Seu cabra da peste,
"Sou Mangueira......."
saw them at the ANA show in Philadelphia when they did their First exhibit Plenty of Gold Bars not to be repeated since, what a discovery it must have been when they found it!
It's kind of low end. (1857-S) As i remember...Too many scratches but brilliant gold luster. I bought it when I knew less about coins than I do now (I know very little currently).
IN the meantime, I've narrowed the search to a vault in any one of 4 states. As soon as i find it, I'll post it.
At least I have Tommy's signature card. LOL
she's a beauty.
"low end"--no way! amazing luster, gorgeous!
Yeah that's really quite lovely.
That’s a beauty!

My example is low end compared to that!

True but.... Your coin has no premium risk. I have quite a number of coins such as yours but only very few "somewhat better" coins.
