First i have 2017A series $100.00 that i think has an error and maybe a 2015 nickel error

the C-note has the security strip exposed where shouldn't and the strip has paper pieces trapped under it. and right i of Jefferson
has maybe a long die chip running down from it. need insight on both pieces.

thanks, yeah that occured to me after after i had posted them both here.
lot of what appears to be extra metal with those thick raised edges. looks off from say the scratch on his cheek.

Are you saying you disagree with the assessment of simple damage? If you do disagree then perhaps you can explain just how this happened during the minting process, we would love to learn from your expertise.

The $100 note looks like it’s damaged and torn away from the strip. The nickel is damaged and not an error.
Really where? I see you asking a question but I do not see anywhere that you provided an explanation of what this "error" you see is.

As you can see it's the same type of metal displacement damage under the eye from a deep scratch as it is to the right of his cheek and into the hair - same type of damage.

metal way more on the eye, on the note im wondering how the paper got under the strip.

On the bottom of the strip away from the printed image, in the border, near the cut, on the front, what is that spot ?
Well first a die crack would be raised not recessed into the surface of the coin, and I have been collecting for 40 years but I have never heard of a die crack donating die chips, lol. The stuff you read on the internet.

die cracks are where die chips come from.
the note is legit all other security features are present.

Your nickel has a cut (PMD) as mentioned by other members, it's not a die crack.
The link jeffas1974 posted seems to explain the $100 note, torn and folded back rather than under the strip.
You may want to start over and learn from a respectable source, you're not even close.

didn't say it was a cracked die mentioned it as a possablity. and yes die cracks can chip off.
Sorry to be blunt... Either listen to the experts or move on. The people that have responded to you have been studying coins for probably collectively over 100 years... That's just between the ones who have already responded. They know what they are talking about.
I've only been at this for a little over 6 months and even I can tell you that is post mint damage, such as a sharp instrument, that created that scratch. It is not an error except by human hands long after it left the mint.
You should do some more studying on what die chips and die cracks are so you can better tell them apart.
