Machine or true doubling?

I was CRH when I found a bunch of BU 70’s cents (mostly 72 San Franciscos) I think this is machine doubling, but have a go at it. Thank you.

Arguably not even machine doubling
Just buy a real 1972 ddo. They don’t cost that much
True hub doubling, 1972 has 10 different DDO's I do not remember which one this is off hand.

I’m sorry, do you mean Philadelphia or San Francisco?

Your op did not specify which mint so I assumed Philli, however, now that you have edited the op to SF there are are 5 DDO's listed on Variety Vista. I suggest that you visit the VV site and attempt to match your coin to one of the five known. It might be DDO-001 but I cannot say for sure from only the three photos in your op.

I would call it die erosion at first glance... Though would not argue with very minor hub doubling.... Cheers, RickO
Can we see a shot of "LIBERTY" (...especially the "B")?

Thank you. It looks to me like a normal strike, I don't believe that's hub-doubling.
