Really?? That is so cool!! Thank you very much for that @tokenpro!! I did some research on it several years ago. I don't remember much about it. I took some screen shot of a token website and saved it, SOMEWHERE. If I find it, I'll show you what it was. Thanks again!! 👍🏻

Do you not believe that it’s genuine? The whole slab looks like the coin in some plastic with a label that says PCGS on it.

The label shows more than just "PCGS". It should also show a grade, any problems, and a description of what's inside the slab.

Nothing rare or valuable about these two super beat up coins/tokens (1515-47 billon french coin, 1580-86 dodge lion nuremburg jeton) EXCEPT that they were dug up next to the Potomac just above Quantico, VA
. Not by me though. Anyway, I can't help but wonder if they are connected to Captain John Smith's boast expedition of the northern Virginia waterway inlets in 1608!4 -

This one is pretty easy to explain: dime got struck and then stuck in hopper. Hopper got reused for cent blanks and the coin got loose and went through.
All that said, the coin is definitively a 1968… I just don’t want to spend $50 on shipping and wait 6 months to have it reholdered.

I believe that is a galvano, the design is created in relief in plaster and reduced by a Janvier lathe to the proper size as a master hub. Very cool piece, with subtle differences from the adapted design.
