A coin similar to the one sold 8-12-21 posted above has appeared ..... now's your chance. :D

@Lakesammman The white labels have reached a price point that seems a bit much to me. I'll have to pass on that beauty and just be satisfied with the three beauties I still have...

I have not really heard an estimate. But, while I have heard they are more common than 2.1's, I personally have more 2.1's, and there are 23 less 2.0's in the database than 2.1's.

Hello Everyone - I wanted to update all of you by answering Ike's question. Based on my ongoing research into all of the Vintage Holders from both PCGS and NGC - I am fairly certain the population of NGC White Label coins for 2.1 and 2.0 Slabs may in fact be extremely similar if not the same - as of today I estimate approximately 2000 coins were encapsulated in both 2.1 White label holders and the second iteration of the 2.0 holders - I still have tons more research to get through but all of the known numbers so far indicate that 2000 is a good number for both - though it would not surprise me if the final numbers end up around 1,800 each once all of the hidden coins show themselves. I do have the documentation to back these estimates up - and would love to talk to any of you that has coins not yet listed in the census. Please reach out to me whenever through this forum or through my email - website.

I’ll be listing two gold ($5 and$10 Libs) NGC White Label’s for sale very soon. Neither exist in the census and there are no known other examples of these denominations. I’ll post the pics here when the listings are live.

    Thanks @86Saab.

    @Peace_dollar88:

While we are on the subject, I submitted these two NGC White Labels to GC and the auctions will be listed today:

This is an NGC 2.0. As far as I can tell, there are no known $5 Lib's in a 2.0 holder:

This is an NGC 2.1. Again, as far as I can tell, there are no known $10 Lib's in a 2.1 holder:

(Not trying to plug my listings here. I will create a more detailed post in the BST section when they are live on GC).

I didn't actually check every listing so I can't be certain, but I have owned these two NGC 2.1's for about ten years and I never added them, so I don't believe they are included in the census.

i will finally sell a couple of my NGC 2.1 holders through Legend Auctions which will finally agree to have a Vintage holder section of their auctions. Only reason i am selling is my safe deposit bixes are too heavy for me to carry as I am now 69 years old. Time tio lighten up. I am working out at a gym but it is not enough.

My NGC 2.1 slabs comprise a small portion of my collection but it put me over the top weight wise as I only have 10 x 10 boxes.

Good luck with the sale, Oreville. Happy to hear Legend will create an Old Holder section. Heritage and Stacks have old holder auctions. DLRC has an OH filter option but with most sites, it’s an Easter Egg hunt for us old holder collectors. Maybe @ianrussell will be the next to add an OH filter at GC.

Not sure when it started, but been using “OH” for over 3 months now.
As of tonight, over 200 listings for “OH”.

Thanks but “OH” only returns NGC fatties, no PCGS or ANACS holders. Even using “rattler” doesn’t work. One needs to type “PCGS 1st Gen” to return rattlers.

Try OGH for early PCGS slabs and OH for early NGC slabs for GC.

Thanks @56morgan. “OGH” returns all green label PCGS holders (over 500 listings). I’m focused on Gen 1 rattlers (1.0, 1.1 and 1.2).

The only older generation NGC slab I own is 129520-049 Likely from one of the hoards of "36 to '42 proofs. It's now CAC and reholdered but probably not old enough for a 2.1 slab.
