Is anyone aware of our host making any statements about the current situation? It's quite possible I've missed it. Delayed flights mildly annoy me. I go absolutely insane when there's a delay and nobody is providing updates. With information, I can start to make plans and work around a problem. When there is only silence, people jump to conclusions and assume the worst.
I've seen several dealers' blogs that indicate that they can't operate their businesses the way things are. Many have moved or are considering moving their business elsewhere. In private, some dealers have expressed sentiments that are pretty concerning. It looks to me like the brand has a significant chance of being permanently damaged by this. Being the "best" in an industry doesn't mean anything if you can't deliver product. The handoff from the founders of any business to the next group is often messy.
It's been a while since I've submitted anything. That's not likely to change anytime soon either.
anyone here use twitter, facebook or another site that pcgs updates regularly?
outside of those these are the only 2 places i know to look for info:
I can confirm, officially, that carrots grow faster than it takes for a PCGS regular submission to get to encapsulation! I write this as I eat the carrots from my garden now!

Maybe its a magical expedition of your order - make it disappear!
It all seriousness, I wish the best for you and getting this sped up. The amount of time you are waiting is ridiculous. No one likes being able to measure the amount of time their coins are gone in fractions of a year.
They received my coins August 24th and still haven't marked them as received. Not even in the system. Called them 2 times in the past month, got all kinds of assurances that they'd find my stuff and send me an E-Mail. Crickets.
If you do what you always did, you get what you always got.

I’ve warned before, don’t poke the bear. If someone tries to rush the grading process, the grades will normally be lower by 1-2 points and then you’ve gotta pay and resubmit to get the mess corrected. It has happened countless times, believe me.
That's sad. In the 20 years I have been submitting I don't ever recall it being that slow.
I assure you - those turnaround times that are posted are much faster than what is actually happening. I’m on business day 60 of a regular submission and I’m still in the grading stage.
I submitted mine at the ana world's fair in Chicago in August. Yes still in grading stage

That’s quite an accusation. What proof do you have that the initial lower grades were due to the reason you claim?

It’s not malicious or nefarious or anything like that from pcgs. It’s that a grader is taken off their normal series in order to make 1 impatient customer happy. For example if I submit a bunch of mint state silver eagles, and I call pcgs up to say it’s taking too long. Customer service always does a great job and will definitely do everything they can to speed up the process. That means getting a grader off the normal grading path who can squeeze in grading my coins, but he normally only grades EAC for example, and ms70 is just not in his vocabulary.
My point is trust the normal process and don’t try to throw a wrench in the grading system. Now that guy who’s order hasn’t shown up in pcgs’ system as received after 2 months, I would probably be on the phone with pcgs every day trying to sort that situation out.

My economy submission has been there for 16 weeks (June 29th) and no movement whatsoever, which concerns me greatly. Glad I made a composite picture otherwise I'd forget what they looked like!

Customer Service did finally respond (ironically on the 4 month anniversary date of my submission 😂🤣) and said the following:
The order is currently on business day 85 out of the estimated 95 business days for the economy service level. Please keep in mind the turnaround times are simply an estimate and can always vary, they are not guaranteed. The estimated turnaround times are calculated by business days, not calendar days. We do not include any weekends or holidays.
I do not see any issues with the order so far and you will be notified via email once the grades are ready and once the order has shipped.
Today my order moved to the Encapsulation stage!🥳🥳🥳🥳

That's great news, hopefully mine is right behind yours. I am at week 16 (June 29th) on my economy order, so hopefully mine moves soon!
My submission of 8 coins at Summer FUN and entered into their system on 7/14 has now moved from grading to encapsulation. Seven of the 8 coins are being attributed to die marriage, which adds an extra step to the process. This is about 4 calendar weeks faster than what I experienced with my last submission in 2021 so the log jam may be breaking up a little.

Ok. I finally have had enough! I just sent the following email to our host:
Hello, I have been waiting on my submission #xxxxxx (Economy, 3 items) to be graded for just about 4 months.
Two questions. First, why is my order Economy instead of Regular service level? I thought Club vouchers were Regular service.
Second, why is this order taking so long?
My membership expires in xx days. I have changed my account from automatic renewal pending response from your team.
Please advise.
Will post their response.🙄

Does PCGS is still receiving many orders by now or some other issues causing the long turn around time?

Still waiting for grades on 7/14 economy special issues and truviews
Still waiting on my 06/29 economy order with TrueViews. They keep saying 95 days, but when I submitted in June, it was 55 days.
I just hit 3 months on my club submission... I don't know about you guys... but this level of service is unacceptable.
I just use the quarterly special and sent them in to bulk 20 coin minimum not the normal 100 coins and it only took two weeks. That was supper fast.
