The king of the CC Morgans with original gunmetal grey surfaces. Since it's a key date, they are more lenient on their grading standards so many straight graded ones do appear to be cleaned or messed with unlike this example.

This 1814 E/A is distinctive because the eagle’s left wing and head normally come weakly struck on this die marriage and this example is nearly fully struck.

I bought this 1795 Lettered Edge cent for an exhibit I hope to display shortly. The mintage was low on these coins at 37,000, and most of them went into circulation, which was their intended purpose. Also a good many of them were melted because they melted for more than a cent at the time. This one is an S-73 with about 40 examples known.
Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?7 -
