EAC help 1794 S-38 grade.

Good day. I’m still fresh to the EAC grading and value. I’m seeing if I can get some inputs on this 1794 S-38.

Sharpness grade Fine-VF, net grade Good-4.

I would assign a sharpness grade of VG10/F12, and a (net) EAC grade of AG3.

That is a fairly respectable ‘94 for collectors on a budget.
    Looks like Fine details.
My EAC grade is ~$350 ;)

Nice cent... date and details legible. I will leave the grading to others on this one. Cheers, RickO

The sharpness grade for the coin would be F12 maximum because of the hairline. Net grade would reduce to AG3 maximum because the color/surface would be classified as 'scudzy'. This is all per the EAC Grading Guide. As per PCGS Price Guide it would net at $375. It is a good coin for a book because all of the design details are visible.

Great features. Nice album coin. Most have already said in regards to the grade. Difficult to ascribe a details grade, at least for me. AG3 to Fine could be correct. Still a nice coin. My 1794 has great strike and features but unfortunately it has pits.

    EAC surfaces are described as:
    Choice
Average, Average - and Average +
    Scudsy

This one is scudsy. I would grade it F details net AG3.

I didn't see this before... agreed...VG10- F12 details and netted to AG3 for pitted surfaces, not a bad album piece in the scheme of 1794 Cents...
