10 years, 2 months and 2 days - the set is complete! Warning - State Quarters thread ...

It started back in April of 2012 with the purchase of a couple of inexpensive PCGS-67 state quarters in flag holders. With a shiny quarter, a colorful flag holder, and a link to our state of residence, I reasoned my wife would enjoy collecting them. Well, we all know how that turned out. : )

So 10+ years later, my "new" series is complete. With help from a Board friend in acquiring those difficult, last 4 or 5 coins, it's done. All 100 State P&D (the 12 Territory P&D too) quarters in PCGS-67 Flag Holders! Ten years of chasing the MS67 grade in flag holders have been interesting. They used to be plentiful and cheap. Along the way I was given one, actually bought one on Amazon, and paid $2.28 for the least expensive coin. I don't know when PCGS stopped making the flag labels, but getting some of those last coins was difficult - in 2017 and 2020, I was only able to fill one hole the entire year.

When I told my wife I had finished "her" set, her response was, "Okay, now what are you going to do?" I think I might buy her an Inno dollar ... :open_mouth:

I've been waiting for some time to make this picture.

If we were all the same, the world would be an incredibly boring place.

🥰 A decade in the making 🤗 Congrats!
@JeffersonFrog Isn’T nice to see the uniformity when you line all the slabs up? The flag label is nice and not necessarily buying the label …. however too many different labels would make the entire collective more clutterly.

🤔 I think Mrs Jefferson deserves much more than the Inno dollar ❤️

Congratulations on a super successful collecting endeavor.

Is there a simple way you put each of the slab photos all together?

    Thanks.

I wish I could share some kind of cool Photoshop secret, but it's just MS Paint cut and paste. Paint is also size limited, so the left side of the picture is 1999-2003 and the right side 2004-2008. Paint is simple, just tedious as hades.

    Very nice set.

Next up? How about a major error coin from every state (Statehood Quarters). A very hard set to put together.
