Who likes DMPLs? Here's an 1884-CC

I'm not a Morgan dollar collector and own only 2. I've always wanted to have a CC version that has great mirrors. I also have an affinity for the old ANACs white holders, especially when there is a big coin housed in one. So the combination was right and I dove in.

Sharing pics from my friend @robec and a video taken when I was at a client's office. While getting a coin delivered at home is cool, it's also nice to have a distraction at work too.

As I think about the assigned grade, I think it's accurate. What do you think? :) (I have no intention of crossing)

Feel free to post your DMPLs!

    I love dmpl's. Nice one! I do have to admit tho', 65 seems to be a little over graded to my eye. Jmo.

    @Catbert
    That one looks nice. From what I can see in the picture I would not argue with the grade. Maybe in hand might see something but... Not sure of the UDM requirements but it appears to be a fairly deep dmpl. There is only a light luster beam(s) (cartwheel) showing in the photo. The 1884CC I think is the cc that can come with the deepest mirror and more often but other cc are similar. Also has the halo at eagles head.

    Very nice. I love the cameo effect and ultra deep mirrors.

    Must have been the first coin off the die after it was polished. Or one of them at least.

    DMPL Morgans are beautiful and even us non-Morgan collectors find them hard to resist! Congrats on picking up a great example.

    Beautiful Morgan! 1884-CC Morgans can come very nice and this is one of them. It looks correctly graded to me and I like the specialness of the UDM label.
    Excellent images by @robec as well, who is simply one of the best out there.

    @Catbert... Beautiful CC Morgan.... Thanks for showing us.... CC Morgans have always been a favorite of mine... built a set years ago. Don't have one like that though. Cheers, RickO

    The UDM"s are the ultimate in DMPL's.

    I don't regret many coins I've sold but I did own an 84-CC in 62DMPL in a GSA holder that was the most blinding mirrors I've seen and even with the 62 nothing was very distracting. At the time it was like a $300 coin and I really regret selling it and don't have any clue why I did tbh but not many cooler things you can get for $300. Oops!

    Anyways all that to say fantastic looking coin in the OP, I may need to start searching for one myself here.
