2008p Arizona "extra cactus" roll.

joeykoinsjoeykoins Posts: 18,766 ✭✭✭✭✭

Hi guys,
Recently, I picked up mint rolls of Quarters from the bank. One roll were the Arizona 2008p. Which had an ender showing the extra cactus!

I was going to keep or sell without opening it.
Well, I decided to open instead. Here are the results.
My oh my!

24 out of the 40

Beautiful!

Many different progressions.
I'll post some close up pics later, thanks.

    Is that a die chip?

Are they actually worth anything? Because I remember in 2008 I found hundreds of them (almost 95% of the rolls I received from the bank) and ended up depositing them back when no dealer would bite. lol

It's only a minor die chip. Calling it an "extra cactus" is just a way to try and fool new collectors into thinking that minor errors are valuable.

Nothing there worth bothering with. Minor die chips are boring.

    All glory is fleeting.

    Just a heads up.
I didn't mention they were worth any premium.

It may be only a minor die chip, but still a variety and cool to find. Cheers, RickO
