    Ooops, double picture....The marks on GW's face and neck not as bad in hand and the surfaces just as with the Maya Angelou quarters are quite prooflike.

    Nice... I have not seen any of those yet.... I lived and worked in FL when that happened... We were in the parking lot (Factory close enough to see the launch once it was in the air), and I will never forget that feeling when it exploded. Cheers, RickO

    Dr. Sally Ride was an astronaut (first American female in space) but did not die in one of the spaceship disasters. Looks like she died of cancer.

    Looks like the mint is trying to create low mintage "S" quarter for the women series at around 300,000

    1932 First year Washington

    D. 436,800
    S. 408,000
    The new ones have 25% less mintage and here’s red books prices

    Received 2 sets Thr 3.24 two days after on sale and 3 sets today.

    While I'm all over these S mint (especially the Sally - I really like the design) it is not an apples to apples comparison. The 2022-2025? S mint are sold (theoritically) directly to collectors by the roll in mint condition. The 1932s were general circulation and subject to meltdown. I think the W mint from 2019/2020 will come closer to the 1932 survival levels as they went into circulation, and a fair number will be lost to time, but still many of them were pulled out and hoarded. The numbers for the 1932s started low and only went down from there, with it being in the midst of the depression, few people were probably holding on to rolls of them.

    Well there was a much smaller overall population not to mention fewer collectors. Ofcourse it’s not apples to apples but given growth these easily could push the early rarity.
    Let’s see how value settles in and there’s room to compare purportionaly higher grades to circulation 32’s
    2-cents as always 🦫🙀😉
