I think with the scuff on the face it would net a F12. Beautiful coin nevertheless, and that type coin is on my hope to have list.

F-12 Really nice coin. Nice start on the box of twenty. Is this in addition to everything else or are you down sizing and focusing on the box?🐈

I like the look of that 1799 dollar.

There looks to be a little more wear in the reverse when compared to the photo grade 12 , so im gonna say G8

I wanna say GR8 cause that is a great coin!
    Congrats

My firt thought was F15, so that works. I think Photograde might be good for highlighting gradeflation. 20 years ago that may have been a VG, but not now.

Great coin!!!! Couple neat facts about 1799: George Washington dies at 67 near the end of the year.
And a 12 year old from North Carolina found a big yellow rock in a creek, used it for a doorstop until
his dad realized it was gold, launching the first gold rush in USA. And this coin was in circulation!!!

Great coin, glad you got the F15 grade. Love the color and the coin.

I didn't 'get' the grade, but I certainly paid for the grade! Ebay buy it now, fairly steep, but looked MUCH nicer than most other examples in most any grade. I love that "dirt-cameo" look. My idea of a DCAM!

@moursund ... That is a very nice coin.... I could easily tolerate the scrape on the neck for such a nice 1799 coin.... Sure, it affects the 'assigned' grade... also affected the price. And now you have a great coin in your collection. Cheers, RickO
