Wish I could attend but I’ve got prior commitments
Enjoy your trip up from Truckstop, TN!
😉
I am actually coming from Madhouse, MS this time!
Show reports please. So happy to see more and more coin shows being held. And I hope the restrictions are being eliminated as they are in this area. I know the virus was serious (Lost three friends and a brother in law), but we have to get beyond this.... Plus, the studies clearly show that shutdowns and cloth masks were, and are, virtually worthless. Cheers, RickO
I will be at my usual table on Thursday (set up day), Friday and Saturday morning -- the airline gods conspired to force an earlier than I wanted departure on Saturday. I'll have a box of new slabs and a number of purchases from FUN with me. This show is the best of the St. Louis/St. Charles shows (IMHO) even with the tight quarters both in front & behind the tables -- a lot of fly-in dealers pop by as the Hilton is directly across I-70 from Lambert Field (STL). It's a very good regional show.(90-110 dealers or so).
Pictures please.
Thanks
Wayne
Kennedys are my quest...
Is there a list of dealers attending somewhere?
BHNC #248 … 130 and counting.
How does this show compare to the St. Charles shows? Number of tables, parking, etc.
This is a great show I really miss since we moved away.
I am planning on attending Friday, probably morning. See y'all there!
Stop by and say hi, I will be at my usual spot table 4 just down from the front door.
I’ll be stopping in for a few hours on Saturday morning.
Wall of HONOR transaction list:WonderCoin, CoinFlip, Masscrew, Travintiques, lordmarcovan, Jinx86, Gerard, ElKevvo, PROMETHIUSS88.
I had a dream about the show last night. Really.
It took place in the same room in the hotel as it always does, but there were so few dealers that they used room dividers to make it smaller. None of the dealers there had coins. They all had trinkets and knick-knacks. Everyone was wearing masks (for COVID), these enormous, white puffy masks. It was a bust.
Is Dennis King going to be there? I have not seen him at any of the shows that I attend over the last couple years.
Dennis King will be there!
I got to the show at around noon. Ample free parking behind hotel.
Same venue-- a small room with around 16 dealers and a larger room with maybe 70 - 80 dealers.
Generally, the same dealers as last year and expect them again next year.
I thought there was a good amount of people looking and buying.
Not crowded, only a with a few areas of congestion in the aisle.
I think there was more buying from dealer boxes than from coin cases.
I talked to one dealer about the 2021 Morgans. He said that the Denver issue is going up in price because of the poor quality of many of the Denver dollars. He said some Denver are going for up to $400 -- the others were from $150 - $190. So maybe the MS70 Denver will be the one to have.
I look for Morgan Dollar varieties and saw prices low for MS63 and 64 and prices high for MS63 and 64.
Forgot to check the buy price for 90% silver, but assume it was around 17X to 18X times face.
