    Yeah, that appears to be something other than a normal toning? I could be wrong?

    You can break open and try a dip. If it's a normal tone, the Ezest/MS 70 would completely remove the tone. If no change or little change, than most probably something weird. Just as you mentioned.

    Wow... that looks like some nasty contaminant also got in the cellophane.... not normal tarnish - at least not from the pictures. Dippity doo in order.... Cheers, RickO

    Common for 1961 and 1962 proof sets. Sometimes the toning on one or more coins can be nice. More often, not so much. Many sealed 1961 and 1962 sets from hot humid climates look like this when opened. Less so for other dates.
