I’m not one for showing off but it was a total surprise as my friends on Instagram told me I won at NGC for “Best of Custom Sets”
Along with several others but I must admit it was nice to be appreciated and noted for my severely different way of collecting.
I do keep registries but not for competition, rather to keep track of what I have/don’t have(wants)

My registry sets
No the NGC registry allows both NGC and PCGS graded coins in their US registry, world coin registry sets are NGC only. That is one of the reasons why you see so many more sets in the NGC registry vs here as the PCGS registry is exclusive vs inclusive. However in order to be eligible to win one of the major NGC registry awards (like the one Stef won) the set must meet some requirements. One of those requirements is that the set must be 75% or greater NGC graded.

I have several custom sets on PCGS they just aren’t your standard collector sets. It’s collections my way but I guess
it doesn’t fit into any of the PCGS molds. But for something I don’t even try for I’m extremely happy and appreciative.
