Hey Lincoln Memorial Cent aficionados:

Does die polish preclude the MS67RD grade on an otherwise gem BU Lincoln Memorial Cent, especially the 1959-81 issues?

What are your thoughts?

A Memorial cent can grade 67RD with die polish.

My personal preference would be one without die polish marks, but no, they do not preclude a grade of 67.

Some collectors will reject coins with die polish regardless of the TPG grade assigned.

As noted the TPG's will give a 67 grade with die polish lines. Now the question is will it sell for all the money with those polish lines.

Die polish lines, while sometimes visually undesirable, will not prevent the grade. Cheers, RickO

I agree wholeheartedly. Me thinks it gives a coin "Character".
