Do you give numismatic stocking stuffer gifts for the holidays? Here's my gift idea this year:

pointfivezeropointfivezero Posts: 1,986 ✭✭✭✭✭

For the past several years, I have sent copper rounds to my family and friends for the holidays. One ounce and five ounce rounds (depending on whether they were naughty or nice). This year, I decided to save on postage and send inexpensive but graded currency.

Anyone else have a signature numismatic gift idea? Happy Holidays to all!

Tim

I see the $100 at the end, is that my Christmas present? :D

You know, you gave me a good idea for a gift. I may subscribe my brother to Coin World. He enjoys coins but is not a big collector. Might be perfect.

I gifted the ASE last year to my mailman and neighbor. Also gave out the novelty gold dollar bills https://www.ebay.com/itm/115092182623 (that I had picked up in bulk for really cheap rate) to other acquaintances.

Nice ideas, @TurtleCat and @vulcanize. My nephew bought raw silver certificates and sent them in their holiday cards. Personally, I think he stole the idea from me.

Birth sets got some excitement a few years ago. I would bet a current mint product would be appreciated. ASE's as an example.

I do not gift coins or coin related items.... Well, I used to when my nephew was young, and also gave ASE's to new births in the family. No more births and nephew grew up... He may come back to coins though...Cheers, RickO

I only gift coins for births and special occasions like a first-time marriage.
    Re-marriages do not count. lol
Like the idea of Christmas gifting but will have to give it some thought.

My friends and relatives aren't into coins. They do gift coins to me. Unfortunately they probably spend too much on the coins they do get me.
