When bringing back an old thread, as is sometimes relevant, begin your comments by writing

Never trash another grading service, like say Accugrade.

Search and reply to an older thread rather than start a new one if there has already been significant conversation about something. (Edited to add: and what CaptHenway said too if it is a really old thread.)

Don’t include a “PCGS Forum Rules And Guidelines” entry in a thread about unwritten rules.😉

“Posts must not contain libelous (accusatory, attacking) remarks concerning any individual, company, or other entity.”

“Posts promoting or bashing other grading companies or services are not allowed.”

Please don't post a "I know I have something really rare here. Can someone tell me what it is?" kind of post.

Without photos. No questions regarding a specific coin without photos. If you don't know how, find out before posting the question.

Lighten up on newbies who are not educated on the particular subject. Give them help as you are capable and if they ignore it then don't post again. NOT speaking of known trolls, if known no one should reply to their post, if that happened they would lose interest.

When resurrecting old threads, alert the reader that it is an old thread and then state why it is relevant to the added content you are creating.

Don't know about anybody else but when I open a thread, it goes to the last post I've read. Opening an old thread, I will almost certainly be taken to the first post, not to the end of the thread, where the alert would be posted.

True and this happens to me sometimes but there may be several new posts made and read by me before I realize it’s an old thread.

The default assumption is that every thread is new.

And so when someone bumps an old thread, the new post should indicate the alert so it’s immediately seen.

It would be a good idea but if the bumped thread is more than about a half dozen or so posts, you'll figure out it's old before you get to the alert.

I wish! The problem hasn't been fixed for me. Only 1 out of 5 new threads are doing that for me! @PCGS_Moderator

I really do not reply to all the threads I open... and, I do not open all threads.... I just come on each morning (sometimes later, not often) and read the posts that interest me... and comment sometimes...Cheers, RickO

This happens to me when someone resurrects a really old thread. I hate having to scroll through a couple hundred posts only to see "Nice coin. ricko".

Also, unless it's a guess the grade thread, include a pic of the slab label.
