    I 'picked a graffitied 1820 O.107 'No Serifs' 50c once. It was a shame to see considering the rarity of the variety, but beggers can't be choosers I suppose. image

    IIRC, engraved in the left-obv field was "Florence" in script.

    Also have a very old Canadian Cent which i used to like as from a distance, it's a nice looking coin.
    Some time ago, taking a closer look, I noticed something I had not observed prior in that the E in CENT has been modified in such a way as to make it quite the vulgar coin... Sad.... And surprising I didn't notice it sooner. It was just mixed up in my volumes of dark side materials.

    As you can see, I had both "Mama" and "Papa", and two NYC landmark-themed pieces as well (Brooklyn Bridge and Statue of Liberty, both in contemporary engravings).

    Collector since 1976. On the CU forums here since 2001.

    I am not sure if Mr. "L. Staudenbaur" ruined this Bryan dollar or not when he had his name engraved on it. It most things it would be viewed as a negative, but some of these modified pieces get a specific listing in the guide books.

    Retired dealer and avid collector of U.S. type coins, 19th century presidential campaign medalets and selected medals. In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible.     My records indicate that I bought this on 01/15/2011 for $30. It was in a bunch of silver that my then dealer had just purchased. I thought this beat up old coin was. pretty cool. :)
