Great stuff! Did you post this over on Net54? I think you'll get more of the right eyes on it there.

"My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. Our childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When we were insolent we were placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds - pretty standard really."

Realistically, cards numbered over 102 have little value to anyone other than set builders; they’re not really stars and aside from Paul Waner, very few have ties to MLB. However, the set has seen an uptick in popularity recently and they’re not very easy to find. So every so often, a new set builder wipes out the existing eBay inventories to chase the madness.

And don’t sweat that it’s low grade; pretty much every card is going to be low grade. 😉

high dollar for a low grade nobody.. thats why I was asking what the market is on these. If you run into 1 send me a message I'm interested depending on cost.

Tim, Not sure if you saw this thread that got closed pretty quick in the Trading Cards section but if you click on the link in that thread it takes you to an auction page where the OP mentions that he's also collecting the 1946 Propagandas set as well. It might be a good chance to at least get some more info on those remaining cards you need.

How's the search for the last 4 going? For the one that nobody can find...I suggest looking to see if the athlete has descendants living who may have a couple copies!
