2021 Morgan & Peace Dollar Crackout for Grading

Has anyone bought any coins from the US Mint that come in the same or similar casing that the 2021 Morgan & Peace dollar are coming in? I was able to get a 2021 Morgan and Peace dollar and thinking of sending them to get graded and slabbed and wondering if they are easy or difficult to remove from the US Mint casing. I don't want damage the coins if by chance I decide to send them off. It would also depend on how good they look or if there are any minor flaws.

If they follow the usual packaging, the will be in a capsule with a lid.

Pcgs will take the coins in the capsule.

The capsules are easy to open with a dull utility knife blade

I think mine are still a few days out / mint just emailed today that they were shipped. But yes, they should be the same as the ASEs, I’m not a big fan of them I like the red pack airtights myself...

    They should come out easily.

If you are going to transfer to an airtite, open the mint capsule and put the airtite capsule over top of it then carefully turn it over

Will NGC do the same of taking them in capsule?

The special coins I have purchased from the U.S. Mint all came in capsules... and I expect the CC privy Morgan will arrive in the same manner. Easy to open if you so choose, but if submitting to our hosts, I would leave it in the capsule and let them open it. Cheers, RickO

I don't see any reason for the mint to change its encapsulation packaging.
Granted a few of the sets that I had delivered, the capsules were scattered in the packaging box but never had any arrive damaged.

Just send them the capsules and ask them to return the capsules on your paperwork you may need them if some one ask for all the us mint packaging if selling.

Mint capsules are easy to open with a thin blade as stated - just lay a soft towel underneath when you are prying the capsule open just in case.

PCGS will remove them, just as they do from slabs for crossover. Not worth risking demoting a 70 to a 68 by saving PCGS the trouble of doing it themselves.
