Tampa is in first, Red Sox fall to second (and sinking like a stone at 3-7 in their late ten) and the third place Yankees have heated up to make this look more like a three horse race to the finish (as of today) than it has all season.

Seems you are away. So to recap the trade deadline for when you get back? The Rays added stud middle of the order bat Nelson Cruz, the Yankees added Anthony Rizzo and Joe Gallo and the Red Sox added two key bullpen pieces, I just can’t remember their names and had never heard of them.

That’s what it’s all about; this has been one of the better September races I can ever remember and I now sincerely hope, with Tampa locked in, that we get a great one game playoff between the Yankees and Red Sox to kick off the 2021 postseason...

Boone is fine but here’s the best way to look at Brian Cashman: he doesn’t get credit for the 1990s Yankees that Gene Michael built. So, I give him 2001-Present.

One title in 20 years. That’s simply unacceptable for the Yankees. And since all we ever here about is his successes (since he buries the losers like Clint Frazier, Jacoby Ellsbury, Kei Igawa, etc.) it seems like he’s a good GM.

But like the NY football Giants have needed OL for a decade, so the Yankees have needed pitching - neither organization seems to be able to figure this out. This is not a new opinion - just scroll up.

Maybe this is a wake up call - but I highly doubt it.

Always tough to lose, we Red Sox fans have had a lot of those over the years. I can guarantee you, Dent and Boone were remembering "when". I was surprised to see how poorly Cole pitched, I guess almost $40m per season doesn't buy what it used to.
