Hello everyone,

Today is Mexican independence day!

Please post your Mexican coins from First Republic (1823) and onwards! As well as any war of independence/Iturbide strikes!

@TwoKopeiki given that the 2c Tetela del Oro is red, I'm assuming that it is one of the restrikes.

While I did not make the restrikes, nor even know when they were made, I do currently own the dies for this coin along with a few other Tetela del Oro minors. They were part of the "Viva la Revolucion" exhibit at ANA HQ in 2003-4. They didn't make it into the book because ANA was acting stupid at the time (what else is new?) and pissed me off.

Forgot to say, not only is it Mexican Independence Day, but 2021 is the bicentennial of the year that Mexican independence was finally gained.

Very rare 10 centavos 4000 minted no value given in the North American Coins & Prices guide. Sure it is damaged but can't find another sale anywhere. NGC has graded a total of 3 in all grades.

Every time I see this coin I reflexively say Wow!
I continue staring at the images, slack jawed, until something breaks my stupor or my eyes cross over.

Without question, it is simply an amazing example.
Now admittedly I'm not a worldly individual, like most of you guys are, but I honestly don't believe I've ever seen a finer example of that type anywhere.

Modern, but cool! I love Mexican coins.

It is a cool indeed, this past weekend, a friend offered to me the 'Piedra De Tlaloc' a 5Oz from this serie precolombina, but I passed.

On your coin, I see some finger prints, can they be removed?

Possibly by dipping, but I would lose the other color and I'll accept the finger prints with the good color...

Very nice coins, I like all three but that '62 in particular really gets my heart racing.
Please let me have a shot at buying it if you should ever decide to sell it.
