Surely the seller checked this box by accident,,,,,,,,,,,,, I have never bought from them but this box popped up when I tried to raise my best offer price which doesn't make any sense either.
At first thought it seems silly... why would someone limit their own sales? Maybe the vendor got burned somehow? Only one way to know for sure... ask...

It depends on what is being sold. Is the seller listing loss leaders and doesn't want someone to buy up everything? Is the seller afraid that someone will buy a ton of items and then not pay, ruining a lot of sales? I've had the latter happen to me, and it's a real pain. That said, since it doesn't happen often and the upside of having good buyers bid on lots of stuff far outweighs it, I'd never put in a restriction like that one.

I’m not trying to give you a hard time, but I really don’t understand your reasoning. The seller might or might not have a good reason for it, or, has been pointed out, maybe it wasn’t intentional. But he’s the only one who can tell you. And pointing it out here, rather than to him, sure won’t get him to change it.

If I'm looking for new customers, I could sell $1 silver certificates for $1 each with free shipping. But if I do that without the limitation, the first person who finds the listing will buy all of them. So, it is one to a customer and I've made contact with dozens of newbies rather than one greedy newbie.
So, maybe the seller accidentally had it turned on. Yawn. Let he who is without sin, cast the first stone.

Well there goes 70% of the threads here and most of the fun. 😇
That would be my one and only purchase from the seller too unless something was a total rip.
If they'd let us complain about aches and pains as well as the weather, this would be the most active forum in the galaxy.
And that is just the statement that I would expect from YOU!!!!!!!!!!
We all can't all be as smart and knowledgeable as "The Great Feldini"
If anyone should complain about people posting too much I think that it should not be YOU,,,,,,, you post a counter-point for almost every topic and most of the time it is to point out how someone else is wrong,,,,, or not 100% correct or just to show how much you know compared to everyone else.
As has been said many times here if you don't like a topic don't open it, or if you opened it not knowing what to expect then don't open it again if you don't like it. If you post to it 4 times to complain about the poster or topic well then you are just looking for trouble. But then again you frequently have to gripe about something that I post.
My dear old Granny always said,,,,,, if you can't say something nice to "Keep your mouth closed" or in this case keep off the key board.
Well maybe I just wanted to point out what I consider something stupid on eBay,,,,,,, if you don't agree that is fine. It is done here all the time.
As you posted earlier, “Getting a little upset aren’t we!”

Your conceit is truly disgusting.
Great transactions with oih82w8, JasonGaming, Moose1913.
Well Mark, it is just your shining personable personality that brings it out in me.
There are legitimate uses for it.
And what do you think brought it out of @airplanenut??? That is a puzzle....
Some people just like to spread the wealth.
Whoever is careless with the truth in small matters cannot be trusted with important matters.
That’s good advice from grandma.
Jeez - and I thought canning tomatoes was too much trouble when you can just go to the store and buy cans for a $1...........
"When they can't find anything wrong with you, they create it!"
You miss the point. You're missing something reaching out might obtain for you because you've decided to psychoanalyze his Ebay skills.
I have an autistic friend who sees the world in black or white, right or wrong, yes or no. I have another friend who lives and thrives in the gray areas, and has a great time pointing out and discussing the crazy things he sees on the internet and in life. Neither understands the other.
People view the world differently, and this place is no different.

This is one thing that I like about this Forum,,,,,, you can get coin info and get "psychoanalyzed" all in one place and at no charge.
You know I simply pointed out an odd eBay requirement.
Well, this eBay seller has gotten a thread started about him, and now made a sale to see if that pop-up would appear. A few more people here may try. I think his business model may be a roaring success.😂😂
