Since they have not started shipping them yet.... One must assume counterfeit. Cheers, RickO

I am waiting for the would-be lawyers to say that since the real coins do not exist yet then this piece cannot be a counterfeit!!!

Even on it's worst day - Mint packaging is 1,000 times better than this scammer! I would think that the average Joe would realize that a coin going on Ebay for $350 plus and finds a seller listing one for no profit realizes that there may be a problem here. This is just unbelievable - hope this seller gets his due.

It looks to be as bad as the counterfeit 2016 Proof Silver Eagle I saw a few years ago. It got taken down on eBay, but that won’t stop the scammers from selling it elsewhere. Since none have been issued, you would think it would be a tough sell, but as Forest Gump said, “Stupid is as stupid does.”

In recent years I have been working on a set of British coins - at least one coin from each king or queen who issued pieces that are collectible. I am also collecting at least one coin for each Roman emperor from Julius Caesar to ... ?

    Not surprised.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see them in fake slabs before long - even before the mint issues them. If the evildoers are smart they could put “pre release” strike or something on the slab label and jack up the price even higher.

Nothing surprises me anymore, gave up scouring Ebay for fakes and reporting them. Ebay simply doesn't care.
