Twins!

Eldorado9Eldorado9 Posts: 2,761 ✭✭✭✭✭

The 1911 half and 1909 quarter are almost identical twins! You gotta love good looking PF-65 Cam Barber's because the prices ARE absolute bargains, even in today's hot market.

Nice. Is that a die crack on the 11?

Not a die crack, just a little natural toning irregularity. The proof mintage was 543! So you gotta figure the dies were barely used when they retired them.

They are both stunners, but the reverse on that 1911 is just gorgeous.

If you put the obverse of the 1909 together with the reverse of 1911, you would have a damn perfect coin! :p

Quality coins indeed.... Though I do not care for tarnish, the coins are well preserved otherwise. Cheers, RickO

Definitely not as nice as yours or worth as much. They are true twins thou. Same year, same toning. If it weren't for different cert numbers I would be gard pressed to tell them apart.
