1900 Lafayette dollar fake or real?

It seems like the lettering may not be right. I also found the thickness to be less otherwise has a good eye appeal. Specs are 26.71 grams, 38.05 mm diameter and 2.74mm thick.

I would consider starting with pictures of the entire obverse and reverse followed by images of the focal points that give rise to your concerns

I would pass on this one before getting to an analysis as to whether it is genuine. My apologies if this commentary was too direct

Thanks for your help. With regards to the lettering the U on united seems to have doubling and to me the letters appear to look more rounded than flat.

Looks real but very harshly cleaned unfortunately.

The rounded letters could be a result from the type of cleaning applied to it or a worn die as those incuse lines on the lettering could also be a result of the worn die too.

Whizzed, genuine. Hard pass much beyond the bullion value.

Whizzing can make the lettering look funky. Genuine but harshly cleaned.

Looks genuine but as noted above, harsh cleaning. No doubling ... Cheers, RickO
