Maybe those low-mintage 1913-14-15 Philly coins at the tail end of the Barber half series are sleepers, and maybe they ain’t, but I like ‘em, anyway. Can’t afford ‘em in MS, so here you go.

My second-best cherrypick of all time. Found in a bulk bag of Wheat cents in 2006, so it cost me less than a nickel. A piece of dirt was covering the mintmark when I found it.
PCGS later graded it XF40.

This “jolly green giant” had a @crazyhounddog pedigree, if I remember correctly. But I think I bought it from someone else here on CU, and I’m ashamed to admit I’ve forgotten who. Speak up if you recognize it!
I also sold it away in a “pay the bills” purge, but later bought it back again, and was happy to have it once again.

Circ but wholesome key date.

Not a key date this time. But not bad for ten bucks, on the other hand.

Mix it up with a different year?

@lkenefic - we were on Barber halves a little while ago, but your play should have been 1859 or Indian cent!

Here- I’ll play from @Mr_Spud ’s 1859 Indian. I don’t presently have any of that one-year type, but here’s a CuNi 1864, anyway.
So that’s 1864 or Indian cent to the next player.

OK... this time for real (not sure what happened the last time) ... looks like 2 1/2 Gold or 1908...

Playing off another 50C Commemorative, or the year of the coin is my understanding as well.

Let’s shift to Merc dimes, perhaps.
This 1942 was the first I ever found while metal detecting. I dug it on September 5, 1993. It was my 4th silver coin found.
In the subsequent two decades, I later went on to find hundreds more silver coins and more than a roll’s worth of Mercs, but I never got tired of ‘em.
Popping a Merc from the dirt- no matter the condition, or how common the date- always put a big smile on my face.
