A Memorial cent should never follow an 1807 Draped Bust cent, for example. It should have been either the same DATE or the same TYPE to follow. So another Draped Bust cent or any coin from 1807, in other words.
And before that, you played an 1807 Draped Bust half after an 1824 Capped Bust half- neither same type nor same date.
An 1886-S $5 Liberty does not follow a 1944-S Walker half, even if they’re from the same mint.
Your Philippine piece was correctly played, at least according to the coin preceding it. And your “Morgan for for Morgan” play with the 1893 Morgan was similarly valid.
But eh, whatever. Proceed. It’s Morgan dollar or 1881 now.
