How do you store and display your collection?

As an opening statement so there no unnecessary conflicts there isnt a correct answer!
This post is about personal choices ,and what works for your personal collection.
That said...I have over the years have gone full circle in housing and displaying my coins. As a YN Whitman albums,2x2's were the main way I housed my collection.
Then with new ideas and products I did try several ways to change my collection needs to be housed and displaying.
Now some 50 plus years, I've gone full circle. Please understand i still use 2x2's mostly 1.5x1.5 for more storeage. I still have slabs, capsules tubes, etc etc....
I have found that I appreciate my coins more when I can view them in albums!
My half dimes are in slabs, due to so many varieties.
My IHC,Mercury dimes,Roosevelt dimes,Franklin halfs,my nickels are also in albums from 1903- 1971, as well a few type albums, and Morgan silver dollars.
Again its all personal choice...no right no wrong.... way to display and store.
Going back to albums has allowed me to enjoy my coins more.
How many members here have coins that has been in their collection for years?
How many have revisited some of those coins? Are they locked away in a safe? Or safety deposit box?
Are you really appreciating your coins? Enjoying all the time and work you put into building your collection?
Again these questions I've have asked myself... is my collection an obsession to fill holes ,or squirrel away for the future?
Are their specimens that are burried in a safe, safety deposit box that have fallen off the radar?
More or less questions that perhaps we all should ask ourselves....are we passing our collection on?
Or is some relative going to end up with a lifetime collection that has little or no interest.
Again just food for thought....but I like to hear how you display, store, and plans for your collections.

My Slabbed coins are in safety deposit box, but I have a digital album of them that I created on/with my iphone that I can look at anytime I want to. I pretty much look at them every day on my phone. Also great for sharing the photos online when I want. And knowing that they are pretty darn safe in the bank I’m not afraid to share the images online.

My best stuff, 145 slabs, is both stored and displayed in these trays. They slide into a clear plastic rigid sleeve. They are kept in a couple of large safe deposit boxes. I added the second image to show the clear plastic case the tray slides into.
Not currently displayed, better coins mostly in slabs, and stored in a SDB.
I have the 2009 Lincoln commem set in my curio cabinet because I thought the set and packaging were really well done and it’s not valuable. Everything else is stored in… wouldn’t you like to know 🤔
SDB with digital photos for viewing, registry sets, etc..

Never a slave to one plastic brand will I ever be.
My stuff is all locked away in slab boxes, I'd like to display them at some point, but in the meantime, they are photographed...

Ask me no questions...and I'll tell you no lies!
Honestly just wanted the answer a safe, vault,Safety deposit box, nothing like a map to the hoard.
I have always entertained the idea of a web site like a museum with a virtual interactive person who would lead you throughout the site to see the different coins, medals, exonuma ,etc.
With a key code that if you like to share your collection you could give access to friends and family.
You could even have different rooms for world, US , exonuma paper, etc.
I do know that some are very private, and I respect that....

I find USPS Large Flat Rate boxes are great for displaying my collection:
I have some lower value coins on display that are on plastic stands in my glass china cabinet. My expensive ones are locked away, but thanks to pcgs and ngc registry I can show friends and families pictures!

The bulk are in safe deposit boxes off site.
Many are in Dansco albums, many are slabbed and some come home occasionally on field trips, lunch dates or photo shoots.
Most of the time they are appreciated through my photos of them.

Most of my Raw coins are in Albums. Most of the BU or higher are either in slabs or protective Lighthouse holders. These I place in my own albums made of Notebook 3 ring binders.

I have my Symphony Set in a coin display case. (you can view every coin in that set here: https://www.pcgs.com/setregistry/collectors-showcase/themed-coins/symphony-set-lastufka-collection/imagegallery/9086 )
The rest are stored in slab boxes (all of my coins are graded save for a few low value coins I inherited from my dad and grandpa).

No displaying for me, just security. I live in a bad neighborhood!
Although, I saw this and thought it was pretty cool. It's not mine.
Mostly I use Dansco albums ( 20 + ) for my main collection, extra coins are in 2x2 in coin boxes, Proof, Unc. sets stored in safe.
Safe deposit box at the bank. I was just there recently to add a few new pickups and laid out my proof seated collection for a pic so I could admire them all.
All over the house!!!!!!!

I do not display my coins.... I just go and get what I want to look at... From coin cabinets, the safe, storage box or my computer stand. Cheers, RickO
Mostly albums for: 7070 Type Collection and Morgan Dollar Date set. I store my Large Cents in 2x2 envelopes. I have a couple of Gold coins in PCGS slabs that are the start of a Box of 20 (Classic Gold Type and 18th C Type)

After years of collecting, ive decided to settle on 3 box's of 20 and a Dansco ASE set as my collection
I have about 10 slots left in my 3rd box
got rid of all loose junk, and flips, etc
its very tidy and secured in in various SDB.s
I have them all digital on my laptop and phone of course
Been collecting a long time. Many sets are in Capital holders. Slabs are in eagle and lighthouse pages in binders.
That is one great collection of Morgan CC dollars. Congrats.
Call me old school. My three safes moved in close for this group shot. The safes were made by Victor Safe and Lock Co. in Cincinnati and Meilink Mfg. Co. out of Toledo. All original surfaces, near mint condition, circa 1890-1910.

Thanks - I didn't think anyone would actually look closely.

The meilinks even has a nice little handle for the burglar to carry it away by.
