How do you store and display your collection?

As an opening statement so there no unnecessary conflicts there isnt a correct answer!
This post is about personal choices ,and what works for your personal collection.

That said...I have over the years have gone full circle in housing and displaying my coins. As a YN Whitman albums,2x2's were the main way I housed my collection.
Then with new ideas and products I did try several ways to change my collection needs to be housed and displaying.
Now some 50 plus years, I've gone full circle. Please understand i still use 2x2's mostly 1.5x1.5 for more storeage. I still have slabs, capsules tubes, etc etc....
I have found that I appreciate my coins more when I can view them in albums!
My half dimes are in slabs, due to so many varieties.
My IHC,Mercury dimes,Roosevelt dimes,Franklin halfs,my nickels are also in albums from 1903- 1971, as well a few type albums, and Morgan silver dollars.

Again its all personal choice...no right no wrong.... way to display and store.
Going back to albums has allowed me to enjoy my coins more.
How many members here have coins that has been in their collection for years?
How many have revisited some of those coins? Are they locked away in a safe? Or safety deposit box?
Are you really appreciating your coins? Enjoying all the time and work you put into building your collection?

Again these questions I've have asked myself... is my collection an obsession to fill holes ,or squirrel away for the future?
Are their specimens that are burried in a safe, safety deposit box that have fallen off the radar?
More or less questions that perhaps we all should ask ourselves....are we passing our collection on?
Or is some relative going to end up with a lifetime collection that has little or no interest.

Again just food for thought....but I like to hear how you display, store, and plans for your collections.

Not currently displayed, better coins mostly in slabs, and stored in a SDB.

I have the 2009 Lincoln commem set in my curio cabinet because I thought the set and packaging were really well done and it’s not valuable. Everything else is stored in… wouldn’t you like to know 🤔

My stuff is all locked away in slab boxes, I'd like to display them at some point, but in the meantime, they are photographed...

Ask me no questions...and I'll tell you no lies!

Honestly just wanted the answer a safe, vault,Safety deposit box, nothing like a map to the hoard.
I have always entertained the idea of a web site like a museum with a virtual interactive person who would lead you throughout the site to see the different coins, medals, exonuma ,etc.
With a key code that if you like to share your collection you could give access to friends and family.
You could even have different rooms for world, US , exonuma paper, etc.
I do know that some are very private, and I respect that....

I have some lower value coins on display that are on plastic stands in my glass china cabinet. My expensive ones are locked away, but thanks to pcgs and ngc registry I can show friends and families pictures!

The bulk are in safe deposit boxes off site.
Many are in Dansco albums, many are slabbed and some come home occasionally on field trips, lunch dates or photo shoots.
Most of the time they are appreciated through my photos of them.

I have my Symphony Set in a coin display case. (you can view every coin in that set here: https://www.pcgs.com/setregistry/collectors-showcase/themed-coins/symphony-set-lastufka-collection/imagegallery/9086 )

The rest are stored in slab boxes (all of my coins are graded save for a few low value coins I inherited from my dad and grandpa).

Very nice, Alan and a slight improvement on my USPS display box.

Been collecting a long time. Many sets are in Capital holders. Slabs are in eagle and lighthouse pages in binders.

Call me old school. My three safes moved in close for this group shot. The safes were made by Victor Safe and Lock Co. in Cincinnati and Meilink Mfg. Co. out of Toledo. All original surfaces, near mint condition, circa 1890-1910.

    Absolutely brilliant!! I love those!!
