Morgan Quarters

Check out these old boards (copyright 1938). Morgan Quarters...I guess I'm not that old after all!

Barber would be rolling over in his grave!
I think George T. Morgan would be rolling in his grave to have his work compared to Barber. Barber’s designs look like a collection of Victorian era drag queens.
Can't forget about the dimes!

I love those old boards, particularly when they have spots for the 1894-S dime or 1913 Liberty Nickel. I remember holding about a dozen old Whitman holders that each had a spot for the 1913 LN, and each book listed the mintage as "5 Only".

I think I saw an old Hawaii Five-O episode where somebody stole from a coin show a 1913 Liberty nickel and hid it in a gumball machine or something...
To take us terribly far off topic, there was an episode of the Sam Spade radio show where someone did that with a quarter eagle. https://oldradioworld.com/shows/Adventures_of_Sam_Spade.php#google_vignette
If memory serves, it's an impossibly good date.
Those are great old albums...I would love to come across some of those at a yard sale. Even without coins. Cheers, RickO
Imagine finding these at a yard sale, some young kid selling stuff, "Yeah, my Grandpa had these in an old bureau, you can have 'em for ten bucks."
@Onastone.... Things like that have happened. Had a friend out in WA state that got two old albums in that way... had some coins in them as well....No big treasures, but cool anyway. Cheers, RickO
I'm going to rat you out to Barber's heirs!
I guess I should start roaming tag sales and yard sales....you never know.
What a great post.
Nostalgia at its best.
