The ANA Rosemont Coin Show, of the many...The Show Summary!
Here is my version of a report.
Many pics.
First of all. FANTASTIC SHOW!
Many variety of coin tables and categories of collectables. Many familiar faces and big names!
Namely, Mr. Lincoln and Mr. Franklin. Impersonators , of course. Lol.
I walked up to Mr. Lincoln, and told him, " you looked doubled today!" He replied, " troubled?" I said, "no, doubled!" I guess he didn't get my humor? Lol.
About Mr. Franklin.
I was disappointed when I seen him. He DID NOT, look like the Bugs Bunny that he's famous for. Lol
Anyway, sorry.
Back to the coins.
Some Beautiful specimens!
The famous Broken Morgan
My hero!
Mr. Weinberg
Also met many of my YouTubers.
Beautiful hot spots
Here are my purchases!
My first CAC sticker slabs. Along with a 1964d BU Roll of dimes. To check for the dd's.
Also sold some of my big items. Very happy in my profits.
Thanks guys! Going back tomorrow.

Comments
Thanks for the pictures. It was fun to look at the dealer offering various Batman slabs, sharks, guitars, many colorized coins and that 2017 1 Kilo Wells Cathedral coin (in your photo above). The Kilo coin was marked $15,000 but I overheard him say he would take $11,000 for it. The guy passed on it. Enjoy the show tomorrow. I am considering driving down for another walk through. Not sure how many dealers stay. I heard a few say they fly out after Thursday.

Thanks for your report!
Your posts evoke memories of the time when collecting was fun!
Thanks for your report.
@JimTyler The dealer you are referring to is Fred Weinberg. Fred is one of the most respected dealers in our hobby and the DEAN of Error dealers. Instead of making lite of his response to the current health situation, just respect his decision.
Great photos and pickups, thanks for sharing!
I ran into Ben eating breakfast at a hotel in Albert Lea, MN last year (or two ago). I spoke to his wife who told me of his mission to educate folks about Ben Franklin.
The local paper had a story about him from 2012:
One of America’s Founding Fathers is at the Freeborn County Fair this week. Dressed in clothing representative of the 18th century, Chuck Molenda of the northwest suburbs of Chicago is re-enacting the life of Benjamin Franklin. He and his wife, Kitty, who re-enacts as Franklin’s wife, Deborah Reed Franklin, can be found just feet away from the entrance to the Freeborn County Fair from Bridge Avenue.
“For 20 years, we’ve been trying to prove to people how amazing he was,” Kitty said. “He was a community man.” Besides his role in helping America gain its independence from England and helping draft the Declaration of Independence in 1776, Franklin was an inventor, a printer, a musician, an author and a family man, the couple said. “The more we researched him, the more fascinated we became,” Kitty said.
They’re so fascinated with the Franklins that they’ve been re-enacting the parts for 22 years. This is their first county fair.
While the Molendas will not appear on stage at the fair, they are part of the entertainment. They welcome people to come up to them in their tent and ask questions. The couple said Franklin met his wife when he was 17 years old. They were married through common-law marriage for 44 years and had three children.
Chuck said Franklin was a curious man, with more than 200 inventions, though he never had a patent for any of them. Some of his inventions included the double glass spectacles, a long arm (a pole with a grasping claw at the end), a pair of pliers for pulling teeth and the first flexible catheder, to name a few.
He said Franklin didn’t do his work for the federal government, including his work on the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, until after he reached the age of 70. “His mom thought he’d never make anything of himself,” Chuck said. The Chicago man said he first realized he could re-enact as Franklin, a Philadelphian, after he grew out his hair for a film that never came to fruition. “I said, ‘You look like Benjamin Franklin,’” Kitty said. From that point on, for about three months out of each year, the Molendas dress up as the Franklins. They perform at re-enactments, parades and in front of groups as asked. They have been a part of Albert Lea’s Big Island Rendezvous & Festival. “We want to get people involved in history and involved in their country,” Chuck said.

@ricko PM was not moving briskly. The few dealers that had a decent inventory of ASE and AGE said only 2021's were moving. I bought some recent 2015-2020 ASE's at $32 ea. Dealer commented that was the first sale of those at the show. Bought a 1/10 AGE for $211 for my wife's collection.
@Tibor .... Thanks for the information. I think the ASE market is temporarily strangled by the 2021 fervor. That may change abruptly if the inflation tornado continues.... Cheers, RickO
Trying to sell my "Super Bugs Bunny".

I'm asking $500. My 1955 MS 65 FBL Bugs Bunny. The tone should cover that price?
I almost had a few bites yesterday. If not, I get to keep it!
My day just started out fantastic. Check it out. Right before, I go to the show.

Show Summary
To totally summarize in one word. SPECTACULAR!

At least from my standpoint. May vary by each individual? The reasons;
Great to be out again and fellowship with fellow collectors/dealers.
Than, to be able to see world wide known coins that belong in a class of their own.
Happy faces. Esp to see these happy faces without the cloth material that conceals these wonderful smiling faces! Lol.
Deals, deals and more deals! Yes, dealers that are willing to provide us collectors with any sort of bargain. I most certainly did receive a couple.
I for one, for the first time, purchased a coin/s, famously known, with the "Green Bean" on them.
To continue,
great to meet a few of the Youtubers that I connect with on Live Streams.
To meet Mr. Fred Weinberg in person and chat. Nice and swell guy. I congratulated him on his retirement.
In closing;
I have only one complaint. I noticed the lack of free coin magazines and/or Numismatic newspaper giveaways. It's really no big deal but just unusual.
Overall,
Beautiful Show! Thank you all for reading my report guys.
One of my purchases.
Silver Snoopy

--- If it should happen I die and leave this world and you want to remember me. Please only remember my opening Sig Line.Be sure to check those quarters and dimes for doubled dies (I'm sure I don't need to tell you that.) The '64-D dimes have one decent DDO and a couple of nice DDRs to look for.
Yeah, thanks. Unfortunately, skunked, on both denominations. However, a nice Toner dime!
